Mole Trapping & Removal in BUCKNER PLACE, Thompson's Station, TN

When those surface tunnels appear along your sidewalks and concrete edges here in Thompson's Station, it means moles have moved in. They’re incredibly soft, tiny animals, but the damage they cause is anything but small. In Buckner Place, with common irrigation keeping the soil moist, the conditions are right for them. The real issue starts with a tree, often one planted too deep by the builder five to eight years ago. That tree gets stressed, its roots soften, and that triggers a white grub population boom right around it. I trap moles with in-tunnel, horizontal traps that are buried completely underground for safety, flagged so I know where they are. I find the active runs by looking for tunnels that persist even after your mower tires have rolled over them, especially any tunnel pressed right against a hardscape. But just trapping the current mole isn’t a permanent fix for your property. Moles are fiercely territorial. Remove one, and a neighbor’s mole will soon find that empty, pre-dug tunnel network and take it over. That’s why my protocol has three parts: trap the current moles, apply a grub control to disincentivize new ones, and place a poison in the tunnels specifically for that next mole investigating the vacant territory. The long-term solution for Buckner Place involves correcting that underlying tree stress, but my trapping service handles the immediate invasion. You can’t spray your way out of this; the grubs feeding on deep tree roots are often out of reach of insecticides. Trapping is the primary, effective method.
