Williamson County — Mosquito & Tick Control
Professional mosquito, flea & tick yard treatment for Brentwood homeowners, delivered by Middle Tennessee's only UT Certified lawn treatment specialists.
Living in Brentwood means enjoying spacious yards shaded by beautiful, mature trees. That same old-growth canopy also creates the perfect daytime habitat for mosquitoes. You shouldn't have to choose between a lush landscape and being able to enjoy your patio or let your kids play in the yard without getting swarmed or worrying about ticks.
Your shaded, landscaped areas are where mosquitoes live during our hot Middle Tennessee days. They can't take the direct sun, so they rest on the underside of leaves in your ornamental beds, under your shrubs, and up in your tree canopy. A typical sprayer misses this target completely, hitting only the tops of leaves. My method uses a mist blower with the outlet pointed upward, so I can coat the underside of leaves where mosquitoes actually hide, up to about 20 feet high. This gets the solution directly on the pest.
Ticks don’t live in your frequently-mowed fescue lawn; they’re brought in by deer. In Brentwood, especially in established neighborhoods like River Oaks or near the Nashville Golf & Athletic Club, deer frequently browse on ornamental plants like arborvitae. Wherever they stop to eat, ticks can drop off. Since deer feed in the same shaded landscape zones where mosquitoes hide, my single treatment targets both pests simultaneously. It’s a co-treatment win without needing separate applications or harsher chemicals.
Most standard mosquito sprays cannot legally be applied to flowering plants because they kill pollinators. I'm certain many companies spray them anyway. My formulation is different. After extensive testing, I developed my own custom mix using cedar oil, garlic oil, peppermint oil, and a specific soap. It controls pests effectively but is bee-safe, which means I can legally and ethically treat your flowering plants and get complete coverage. For dedicated pollinator gardens, like those some homeowners have near the Crockett Park area, I have a modified, ultra-cautious formula I can use.
My first step with any new Brentwood customer is a property walk-through to identify all sources of standing water, from clogged gutters on your large home to planter saucers in your extensive landscaping. For spots that can’t be drained, like a decorative pond, I use bacteria tablets (mosquito dunks) that are safe for everything except mosquito larvae. This integrated approach, tailored to your specific property, is what makes the service effective from early May through September in our climate.
The I-65 corridor's abundant rainfall, warm temperatures, and lush vegetation create perfect habitat for mosquitoes, fleas, and ticks. Standing water in Middle Tennessee's clay soils provides breeding sites for mosquitoes, while the region's deer population supports high tick numbers. Properties near creeks, wooded areas, or with dense landscaping are particularly vulnerable.

No. My custom botanical mix is specifically designed to be bee-safe. I can legally spray it on flowering plants, which is something most traditional mosquito insecticides cannot do. This allows for more complete and effective coverage of your landscape.
My mist blower application effectively covers the mosquito habitat in tree canopies up to about 15-20 feet high. Mosquitoes rest on the underside of leaves in the shaded portions of the canopy, and my upward-aimed application is designed to reach them there.
No, and you shouldn't. Ticks are not reproducing in your mowed lawn. They are introduced by deer where they feed on your landscape plants. My service targets those specific landscaped areas, which is exactly where ticks are deposited, making a blanket lawn spray unnecessary and ineffective for tick control.
For consistent control through the peak season, treatments are typically applied every 3-4 weeks from May through September. The exact schedule can be adjusted based on your property's specific conditions, like the amount of shaded canopy and proximity to wooded areas.
