I apply it with a backpack mist blower, aiming the outlet upward to coat the underside of leaves and shrubs up to about 15 feet. This targets exactly where the pests are during the day.
Ticks can't live in your mowed fescue lawn. They get here by hitching a ride on deer, which love to eat ornamental plants around your home. When a deer stops to nibble your shrubs, ticks drop off. This means tick and mosquito habitats overlap perfectly in your landscaped beds. My treatment for mosquitoes simultaneously treats the areas where ticks are introduced. It's one application for both problems. For any standing water that can't be removed, like a low spot in your yard, I use bacteria tablets (mosquito dunks) that safely target only mosquito larvae.
The service starts with a thorough walk of your property. I'll point out every potential source of standing water, from planter saucers to clogged gutter downspouts common in new builds. This is a key step for long-term control. For clients with dedicated pollinator gardens, I have an extra-cautious protocol that modifies the mix. You can have effective pest control and support pollinators; you just need to tell me where those sensitive plantings are so I can adjust.

No. My custom formula is specifically designed to be bee-safe. I use botanical oils like cedar and garlic. This allows me to legally treat flowering plants, which is necessary for full mosquito control but impossible with conventional sprays that kill pollinators.
Ticks are brought in by deer. Since deer feed on landscape plants, we target those same shrubs and trees where they browse. My treatment covers those areas, eliminating ticks where they are deposited. Reducing deer attractants helps, but treating the habitat they visit is the direct solution.
No, and that's a key difference. Mosquitoes avoid the sunny lawn during the day. They hide in shaded landscaped areas on the underside of leaves. I only treat trees, shrubs, and bed areas, applying the mist upward to reach their hiding spots. This saves product and is more effective.
For effective season-long control in our humidity, treatments are needed every 3-4 weeks during the active season, typically from April through October. The botanical oils I use break down naturally, so consistent reapplication is necessary to maintain coverage as new pests move in.
