Mosquito & Tick Control for Triune Homeowners
If you've got a place in Triune, you know the deal. You're surrounded by fields and woods, not cookie-cutter subdivisions. That means you're getting deer, and wherever deer browse, you get ticks. And the shaded landscaping around your house? That's prime mosquito real estate all summer. You want to use your yard without becoming bug bait.
You didn't move out to Triune to be stuck inside. But from spring through fall, the bugs can make it feel that way. You've got deer moving through from the adjoining pastures, stopping to nibble on your arborvitae or other ornamentals, and dropping ticks right where your kids or pets play. And those same shaded trees and shrubs are where every mosquito in the area hides during the hot day, waiting for evening. A standard spray from a truck misses this completely because it hits the tops of leaves, not the undersides where these pests actually live. That's why my service is different.
The Triune-Specific Method
My treatment isn't a blanket spray. I use a backpack mist blower that lets me spray upward into your canopy. I target the landscaped areas, your trees, shrubs, and flower beds, because that's the habitat. Mosquitoes are on the underside of leaves avoiding the sun, and ticks are where the deer have been. I apply a custom, bee-safe mix of cedar oil, garlic oil, peppermint oil, and soap. Because it's bee-safe, I can legally and ethically treat flowering plants, which means I get complete coverage where the pests are. You get protection without harming the pollinators that are vital to our area's agricultural heritage.
Why A "Safe" Spray Actually Works
I wouldn't offer this service if I had to wear a respirator to apply it. I tested until I found a combination that works without being dangerous to me, your family, or the environment. The result controls mosquitoes and ticks at a level that gives you your yard back. For any permanent standing water I find during our initial walk-through, like a rain barrel or a low spot, I use bacterial mosquito dunks that only target larvae. It’s a targeted approach for a rural property. Fleas are a non-issue here in a well-mowed environment, but they're controlled by this treatment anyway.
Simple Protection, No Hassle
The service is straightforward. We start with a property walk to identify all potential mosquito breeding sites. Then, every few weeks during the season, I'll come treat your landscaped areas. It's a flat rate based on your property size, no "Brentwood tax" for your Williamson County address. For those with dedicated pollinator gardens, I have an even more cautious formula I can use in those specific zones. My goal is to let you enjoy your large Triune lot, from the historic character of your home to the tree line bordering the fields, without the constant annoyance and worry of bites and pests.
Why Mosquito & Tick Control Matters in Triune
The I-65 corridor's abundant rainfall, warm temperatures, and lush vegetation create perfect habitat for mosquitoes, fleas, and ticks. Standing water in Middle Tennessee's clay soils provides breeding sites for mosquitoes, while the region's deer population supports high tick numbers. Properties near creeks, wooded areas, or with dense landscaping are particularly vulnerable.
